Why ORA Metrics exists.
We built ORA Metrics because we were stuck with the same two bad options as everyone else researching a big purchase: sit through a rambling 20-minute YouTube video for five minutes of actual opinion, or scroll a review section full of five-star posts that read like nobody who wrote them ever owned the product.
For the purchases that actually deserve research (the $500 to $4,000 range, the ones you think about for a week before you buy), that isn't good enough. You need a straight answer, and you need to know where it came from.
So we built a disciplined process instead: gather real reviews, filter out the noise (bots, incentivized five-stars, shipping complaints that have nothing to do with the product itself), and report exactly what's left standing: the good, the bad, and the verdict. Every score traces back to real evidence; nothing is invented, and nothing gets smoothed over to make a review more pleasant to read. Full detail on how that works is on our Methodology page.
We're not the biggest name in reviews yet. What we're building instead is a track record: pick a purchase, check what ORA says, see if it held up. That's worth more to us than any single commission.
One standard, no shortcuts.
Every report gets the same rigor, whether it's a $500 coffee grinder or a $4,000 home theater system. Questions, corrections, or a product you want us to cover? Reach us at [email protected].
